August pullman is a ten year old boy with a facial deformity. He starts school in fifth grade. Its hard on him because no one wants to be his friend. When things start to look better, august realizes he is wrong.he begins to wonder if things will ever get better.
This has a heart-melting story; it is definitely one of my favorites!
